About the Page: Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It deals with the idea that everything in the universe is made up of life-force energy. The use of Reiki directs the energy to restore depleted energy, remove blockages of negative energy channels, and restore balance. It is administered by “laying on hands” and techniques such as this have been used for thousands of years. Dr. Mikao Usui rediscovered it in the early 1900s.
This page was set up as a spot for those of us who took Usui/Tibetan and/or Karuna Reiki classes with Ana and Carlos Gonzalez through the New York International Reiki Center as a place to catch up and share our Reiki experiences, etc. Pages have more flexibility than groups though, so there you have it.
You don’t have to have taken classes with them to fan the page. If you are interested in learning about Reiki or are a Reiki practitioner and/or teacher, feel free to join the page too.
