This is a card from the Paulina Tarot, which happens to be my newest deck. It’s a gorgeous deck! You can see all the cards on Paulina Cassidy’s website.
As I scanned through the images, this one caught my eye. I was amused by the tadpole-like character in his attempt to present the girl with flowers. She, however, is having none of that. She’s looking away and her arms are crossed to pull herself away further. I even like how prim she looks with her toes pointed together. And seeing them there, I couldn’t help but start to write a story between the two.
Writing prompt: Pick one of the characters and become that character’s voice. Now write a dialog between the two. Does the girl ever take the cup? If so, why? What made her take it? If not, why not? Did the tadpole ever give up? What happened next?
How do you feel about the card now that you’ve given it a little story? Did you learn anything new?
