Scherenschnitte with Tarot

I’ve been practicing scherenschnitte (German for papercutting) a lot lately. I decided to try out a few tarot card images. The trick is to find an image that’s simple enough to turn into a silhouette. The hard part is figuring out what to cut out in the picture. I found a few Tarot of Marseille images on Karen Whimsy’s site and gave them a try:

I made a lot of mistakes, of course :P , and still need a lot of practice. But, I am learning more as I go. I’m wondering if I can eventually make my own deck this way. Hmm. Maybe. That could be fun. :)

Do you do any crafts with tarot imagery? If so, what?
